Job Purpose

Air Arabia is hiring a Crew Planner to manage monthly planning and publishing of crew rosters, pairings, and training schedules. You will support crew control operations while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and accuracy across all flight and cabin crew activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and present annual and ad-hoc manpower needs for pilots, cabin crew, and trainers
  • Plan annual leave for all crew, ensuring fair allocation and backlog clearance
  • Collect data for crew pairing and training schedules, including ground, simulator, and line flying
  • Prepare monthly and seasonal crew pairings and coordinate with departments for travel and visa needs
  • Generate legal and efficient monthly rosters using Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS) guidelines
  • Include all mandatory trainings, validations, and renewals in each crew roster
  • Create and submit reports related to KPIs, payroll, transportation, and training activities
  • Support system improvements, new tools, and process enhancements in Crew Planning
  • Keep crew license and qualification data up to date and audit-ready
  • Represent the Crew Planning team in internal and external audits
  • Take on other tasks as assigned by supervisors or department heads

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Management, Math, or equivalent
  • Diploma in aviation or transportation fields accepted with relevant experience
  • Project management or IATA security standards training is a plus
  • Strong command of English – both written and verbal
  • Proficient in crew management systems, Microsoft Office, and productivity tools

Work Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Crew Controller, Training Coordinator, or similar role
  • Hands-on experience in preparing rosters and cost-effective schedules
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory documents like OMA, OMD, CAR-OPS 1, and CAP
  • Experience with audit, quality, and safety procedures in Flight Operations
  • Ability to apply standards and monitor compliance
  • Skilled in identifying issues and offering practical solutions
  • Excellent team collaboration and multitasking abilities
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and quick to respond to schedule changes
