Role Overview

As a Customer & Market Knowledge Manager, you will gather, analyze, and present customer and market data. You will lead qualitative and quantitative research to produce clear, actionable insights that guide brand strategies, product development, and marketing plans.

This role will connect you with senior stakeholders and help Alshaya brands stay ahead of the competition.

Key Responsibilities

You will focus on five core areas:

1. Market Research & Customer Insights

  • Design and conduct surveys, focus groups, interviews, and ethnographic studies
  • Analyze competitors’ strategies, products, and pricing

2. Data Collection & Analysis

  • Gather and interpret primary and secondary data
  • Translate complex data into simple insights and recommendations

3. Insights & Strategy Development

  • Build strategic plans based on data trends and forecasts
  • Support new brand entries and product innovations
  • Monitor industry trends and predict their impact on growth

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Present research findings to marketing, operations, and leadership teams
  • Partner with external research agencies to deliver projects
  • Ensure insights integrate into brand strategy and customer experience

5. Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Track KPIs like brand awareness, market share, and campaign results
  • Deliver quarterly brand health tracker presentations and reports
  • Recommend strategy adjustments based on performance data

Qualifications & Experience

To qualify, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, finance, or engineering
  • 5+ years in a managerial role at a research agency (e.g., Ipsos, Nielsen, Kantar) OR
  • 2–3 years in client-side roles within retail or CPG companies

Technical Skills

You will also bring:

  • Experience with research tools like Nielsen RMS, Kantar Household Panel, Euromonitor, and Statista
  • Expertise in designing and running focus groups, A/B testing, and thematic analysis
  • Strong analytical skills and CRM knowledge
  • Familiarity with customer segmentation strategies
