Job Purpose
Air Arabia is hiring a B1 – Technician Line Maintenance to support engineers in performing maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft. The role includes inspections, repairs, and component replacements, all in line with safety regulations and maintenance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Review task cards with the Engineer-in-Charge to understand work scope and documentation
- Carry out scheduled aircraft maintenance as per assigned task cards
- Perform inspections to identify and report defects using approved methods
- Conduct repairs and component replacements per instructions and safety procedures
- Use proper tools and return them in good condition after task completion
- Report task progress and alert any issues to the Engineer-in-Charge
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the work site
Safety Compliance
- Follow all safety precautions before and during maintenance work
- Use proper protective gear and Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
- Ensure lighting and access are safe and appropriate during tasks
- Observe human factors best practices and prevent interruptions
Teamwork & Reputation
- Collaborate with internal teams and support scheduled maintenance checks
- Represent Air Arabia professionally when interacting with partners and clients
Cost Awareness
- Use time and materials efficiently
- Avoid unnecessary part replacements and repeat maintenance tasks
- Reduce waste of consumables and avoid avoidable damage
Qualifications
- Certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Civil Aviation)
- Good command of English for technical communication
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Valid UAE Driver’s License or ability to obtain one
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Line or Base Maintenance on large commercial aircraft
- Preferably worked with Airbus aircraft types
- Strong foundation in airframe and engine maintenance principles
