Job Purpose

Action Hospitality is hiring a Civil Engineer (Projects) to oversee project execution, maintenance, and refurbishment of company facilities. The role ensures smooth project delivery while maintaining quality, cost control, and safety standards. You will also support feasibility and evaluation of new projects for company growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in delivering safe, timely, and cost-efficient project outcomes
  • Monitor on-site activities and ensure contractor compliance with design documents and local regulations
  • Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, RFIs, and material samples
  • Provide on-site directions and assist in reviewing project closeout documentation
  • Actively participate in site safety activities as needed
  • Oversee maintenance, logistics, renovations, greenery, and facility operations
  • Track and supervise vendor performance to ensure SLA compliance
  • Approve preventive maintenance plans and coordinate with project teams for resources
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and internal teams to streamline operations
  • Prepare BOQs and contracts that include all necessary cost, risk, and technical details
  • Negotiate pricing and process LPOs through the procurement system
  • Manage annual maintenance contracts including elevator, cleaning, and waste services
  • Handle greenery and irrigation maintenance, including contract setup and payment follow-up
  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure proper tracking and processing of invoices and petty cash
  • Work with HR to manage manpower rosters, scheduling, and overtime planning
  • Assist in preparing the facilities and logistics budget in line with company plans
  • Procure materials and spare parts for new and existing projects

People Management

  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members for career development
  • Foster a positive and high-performance work environment
  • Ensure people management processes align with company policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills

Experience Required

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in civil engineering roles managing projects, facilities, and property maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems, air conditioning, sewerage, and greenery management
