Job Purpose

Air Arabia is hiring a Head of Crew Planning & Control to lead and optimize crew rostering across multiple Air Operator Certificates (AOCs). This senior role ensures regulatory compliance, crew efficiency, cost control, and operational excellence across the group’s network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a centralized crew rostering strategy aligned with group business goals
  • Guide and support planning and control functions across all AOCs
  • Oversee administrative and operational functions for timely crew scheduling
  • Review and improve policies to align with regulations and group standards
  • Implement SOPs for full compliance with aviation and company guidelines
  • Align long-term crew planning with evolving business and operational needs
  • Support automation and digital tools to enhance efficiency and reduce manual tasks
  • Review schedules to balance crew utilization with optimized headcount
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to meet new station requirements
  • Offer strategic workforce planning to address future staffing challenges

Additional Responsibilities

  • Monitor fatigue risk, compliance, and operational disruptions
  • Harmonize systems and procedures across all AOC operations
  • Host regular stakeholder meetings and collect feedback for improvements
  • Mentor crew planning professionals and build a culture of excellence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business, or related field
  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of civil aviation regulations and safety standards
  • Skilled in fatigue risk management and compliance
  • Strong financial skills in budgeting and cost control
  • Able to lead cross-functional teams and strategic projects
  • Familiar with AI-based crew optimization systems
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Willingness to travel between hubs

Experience Required

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in aviation crew planning or airline operations
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing workforce or scheduling functions
  • Proven success managing multi-hub or multi-AOC crew operations
