Join e& as a Manager in Sourcing & Services Management for the Capacity & Wholesale Services (C&WS) team. This role focuses on procuring submarine and satellite capacity, optimizing network availability, and driving localization strategies to improve customer experience across UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Procure and Manage Capacity Services
Negotiate with suppliers for capacity purchases and renewals. Ensure continuous network availability and diversity for organic and wholesale needs.
Support Sales and Product Teams
Work with Sales and Product units to localize internet traffic. Promote content hosting in the UAE to improve performance and user experience.
Invoice and Contract Management
Verify IRU, ROW, and other capacity-related agreements. Review and certify invoices for accuracy and maintain a database of all certified payments.
Forecast and Reporting
Prepare the annual EMIX capacity forecast. Contribute to capacity dashboards by tracking availability and pricing across all submarine cables and satellite systems.
Content Localization Initiatives
Identify high-traffic content (e.g., gaming, video). Engage with content providers and ISPs for peering and caching partnerships. Introduce potential opportunities to the Sales team.
Technical and Commercial Support
Act as a technical backup in customer meetings. Collaborate with Solution Architects to support service planning and delivery.
SmartHub Optimization
Coordinate with Engineering and Product teams to enhance SmartHub co-location space. Host major content caches (e.g., Google, Facebook, Akamai) for commercial use only.
Enhance Peering Relationships
Evaluate and respond to PNI requests from ISPs and CDNs. Participate in the peering community to boost traffic localization.
Database and Traffic Monitoring
Maintain updated records of cable capacity and pricing. Analyze traffic trends and recommend upgrades before thresholds are exceeded.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in capacity sourcing or wholesale network services
