Job Purpose
Air Arabia is looking for a skilled Procurement Officer to manage third-party procurement activities across the Group. This role focuses on delivering top-quality service, cost efficiency, and value through strategic sourcing. You will act as the bridge between suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth and effective procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost reduction initiatives for direct and indirect procurement categories
- Manage complex sourcing projects, including IT, hardware, software, and maintenance
- Develop procurement strategies and maintain them with periodic updates
- Run tenders for services like HR, marketing, corporate services, uniforms, and fleet
- Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing aligned with company quality standards
- Oversee contracts throughout their lifecycle, including performance reviews and savings analysis
- Maintain strong collaboration with procurement teams across hubs for consistent processes
- Stay updated with internal business needs and future procurement plans
- Track developments in supply markets and plan accordingly
- Promote the benefits of professional procurement across departments
Additional Duties
- Benchmark supplier performance and lead contract negotiations
- Act as the key contact for vendor contractual matters and dispute resolution
- Ensure all legal obligations in contracts are met, coordinating with Finance for payments
- Draft, evaluate, and manage contracts as per company legal standards
- Administer contract changes, claims, terminations, and close-outs
- Manage storage and sharing of signed contracts and ensure proper confidentiality
- Oversee aviation-related insurance matters like aircraft, property, and D&O coverage
- Coordinate with insurers and underwriters for timely policy renewals and claim settlements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management or related field
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced MS Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Skilled in contract drafting, reporting, and data analysis
- MCIPS qualification is a plus
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage
Work Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing within corporate, IT, or service environments
- Proven ability in negotiating with major vendors and managing large service contracts
- Experience with software licensing, hardware, cloud contracts, and outsourcing
- Familiar with Category and Spend Management, especially in IT and software categories
- Strong legal understanding in contract creation and management
- Able to manage supplier relationships and drive procurement efficiencies
- Analytical, cost-driven, and results-focused
- Comfortable handling multiple projects with senior stakeholders
