Job Overview – Ramp Operations Duty Manager Emirates Dubai
As a Ramp Operations Duty Manager (RODM), you will take charge of Emirates’ below-wing operations during your shift. You will oversee aircraft turnaround, baggage handling, dispatch, and ULD processes. You will also coordinate with Emirates Airport Services (EKAS) and third-party providers like dnata to ensure safe, timely, and efficient operations.
This hands-on leadership role demands real-time decision-making, team coordination, and a strong focus on safety, performance, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all EKAS ramp operations activities during your shift and make real-time decisions to maintain performance and safety standards.
- Monitor aircraft turnaround processes, baggage operations, and dispatch coordination, ensuring all steps align with Emirates’ operational excellence.
- Conduct quality and safety audits, identify gaps, and take immediate action to solve issues.
- Supervise and guide ramp personnel, set clear goals, and provide regular briefings and coaching to drive performance.
- Collaborate with service providers and internal departments to align ground operations with contractual and service standards.
- Prepare shift reports highlighting performance, disruptions, decisions made, and key outcomes.
- Stay alert to any safety concerns or delays, and proactively initiate actions to resolve them.
- Use operational data to analyze trends and improve processes across ramp operations.
- Lead emergency or disruption response for below-wing operations across Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC).
Qualifications & Experience
To qualify for the Ramp Operations Duty Manager Emirates Dubai role, you must have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (12+3 education).
- At least 8 years of experience in airport or airline operations, including 5 years at a supervisory level.
- Experience in Ground Dispatch, Ramp Operations, Baggage Handling, Load Control, or Passenger Services.
- Minimum 2 years of direct Ground Dispatch experience.
- Strong leadership and crisis management skills in 24/7 shift-based environments.

- Deep understanding of Emirates operations and EKAS processes.
- Familiarity with ground handling regulations and international aviation standards.
