About the Role
We are looking for a Sales Group Leader – Kitchens to join the IKEA team at Jebel Ali, Dubai. Your role will focus on enhancing the in-store shopping experience, increasing kitchen sales, and maintaining long-term profitability. You will lead your team in driving sales and ensuring that all IKEA products and services are presented effectively across all media and sales channels.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Improve the IKEA kitchen shopping experience to increase customer satisfaction
- Lead and inspire your team with product knowledge and service excellence
- Monitor and optimize sales performance in the kitchen department
- Manage supplier contracts and ensure cost efficiency through bulk purchasing
- Align product range decisions with local market demand and IKEA global standards
- Set pricing strategies and maintain IKEA’s low-price leadership
- Work with logistics to adjust forecasts based on actual sales trends
Commercial Planning
- Develop and implement the IKEA Sales & Range Action Plan
- Select kitchen products based on customer needs and market trends
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure product availability during campaigns
- Create buying guides for complex kitchen products
- Ensure top-selling kitchen items are always in stock and promoted clearly
- Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategy when needed
- Promote overstock and prioritized kitchen products to maximize profitability
Team Leadership
- Coach and develop team members through regular feedback and on-the-job training
- Build a culture that reflects the IKEA values and team spirit
- Ensure co-workers are well-informed about kitchen product features and benefits
- Promote internal growth by maintaining a strong succession plan
- Engage the team in IKEA’s social and sustainability initiatives
What We Look For
Essential Skills
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Strategic thinker with analytical and tactical strengths
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Customer-first mindset with a commercial approach
Ideal Experience
- 2–5 years of retail experience, preferably in IKEA kitchen or home furnishing roles
- Previous IKEA shopkeeper or sales experience is highly desirable
- Deep interest in home interiors and kitchen design
- Solid knowledge of IKEA’s kitchen range and retail systems
