Job Purpose
Air Arabia is hiring a skilled Sheet Metal Certifying Technician to carry out and certify structural maintenance tasks on both Air Arabia and third-party aircraft. You will ensure all work meets airworthiness standards, regulatory compliance, and the airline’s maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled structural maintenance tasks
- Follow approved task cards and maintenance data
- Supervise technicians, provide guidance, and ensure tasks meet required standards
- Inspect aircraft structures and complete defect rectifications accurately
- Use the Maintenance Information System to record all maintenance actions and parts used
- Check availability and readiness of tools and shop inventory
- Ensure proper communication across engineering and operational teams for task coordination
- Enforce strict compliance with safety protocols and maintenance procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Control material usage and avoid waste or repeat work
- Support operational teams with professional, solution-oriented technical input
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Airframe/Structural)
- Strong skills in sheet metal work, fabrication, and inspections
- Good understanding of aircraft structure repair and maintenance regulations
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and compliance
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work in physically demanding and shift-based environments
- Proficient in using maintenance systems and digital documentation
- Aware of human factors involved in aircraft maintenance
Experience Required
- Minimum 4 years of experience in structural maintenance, preferably on Airbus aircraft
- Preferably holds a Company-issued Certifying Authorization or equivalent practical training
