The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is looking for a Technician – Vehicles Technical Inspection Centers Monitoring (Job Code: 24001611) to join the Licensing Activities Monitoring Department. This full-time role based in Dubai involves auditing, monitoring, and supporting vehicle inspection operations to ensure compliance, safety, and efficiency.
Job Purpose
As a technician, you will audit technical inspection centers, ensure smooth operations, monitor surveillance systems, and enforce compliance through reports and field inspections. Your work helps maintain service quality and regulatory standards across Dubai’s vehicle inspection network.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit vehicle inspection centers and ensure cleanliness and proper facility conditions
- Review suspicious inspection cases and resolve them using the approved system
- Ensure proper functioning of surveillance cameras and inspection systems
- Coordinate with centers and authorities in case of system or equipment malfunctions
- Conduct field visits and weekly inspections based on the monthly work schedule
- Prepare technical reports and incident logs for follow-up by the first technician
- Audit inspection transactions and verify permits for inspectors and workshops
- Review tool maintenance and calibration certificates for inspection accuracy
- Monitor congestion levels in inspection centers via cameras and escalate as needed
- Issue violations for field or absentee discrepancies
- Continuously monitor electronic systems through the smart monitoring center
- Respond to violations or incidents and issue appropriate reports
Educational Requirements
- Technical Diploma or Engineering High School Certificate (Technical/Industrial)
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience depending on qualification
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Principles of vehicle inspection and audit standards
- Report writing and incident documentation
- Familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards
- Understanding of inspection tools and calibration processes
- Ability to use surveillance and monitoring systems effectively
